Upcoming 2016 phones to be excited about
With the Galaxy Note 7, LG G5, HTC 10 and other big devices out in the open, it’s time to explore the possibilities of some of the remaining phones to be unveiled in 2016.
Rumored to feature a refined design, improved camera, 3D Touch home button, and faster internals, the iPhone 7 should come as an iteration of the current iPhone 6s. The larger, 5.5” phablet version of the device is expected to have a unique dual camera setup, which could be deployed in multiple ways. The LG G5, for example, has one standard camera and another wide-angle lens camera. Unveiling and release of the iPhone 7 will likely take place in September, hopefully alongside the next generation Apple Watch.
LG has a unique device in the V10 smartphone, which features two displays for multitasking and personalization. This year, we’re hoping that LG will stick to a similar design, and not be influenced too much by the somewhat disappointing LG G5. A big screen, top-of-the-line specs, and quality cameras are expected, alongside Android 7.0 Nougat. Android 7.0 introduces native Android split-screen multitasking, improved security, and more. Unveiling will take place in September.
Nexus devices traditionally have pure Google software – Android 7.0 Nougat. Pure Android means that there are no carrier additions and no duplicate apps, which make for a fast, smooth experience. This year, though, wireless carriers may be selling the device, so be sure to get one directly from Google.
