Microsoft’s last-ditch effort to get developers
Microsoft has been having a tough time when it comes to mobile devices. Critical to the success of any platform is its app selection, which is something Windows phones are (perhaps fatally) behind on. In an effort to bring some life to its fading mobile ecosystem, Microsoft will try to snag developers from one of the biggest developer events of the year: Apple’s WWDC.
Food and drink may draw in a few conference-goers, but in addition to edibles, Microsoft will be serving up an array of drones and other high-tech robotic machinery for the developers to take a peek at. Hourly Apple Watch Sport giveaways may lure developers in from the nearby Billy Graham Civic Auditorium, where Apple’s developer event will be held on the 13th of this month. Completing the list of Microsoft’s enticements is an Xbox One giveaway.
