T-Mobile’s Tourist Plan makes it easier to get temporary U.S. service
Nearly anyone who’s traveled internationally knows the fuss of trying to arrange for cellular service in a different country. For travelers going to the US, T-Mobile might have just the right solution. For $30, customers can get unlimited data (but only the first 2GB is LTE-speed data), 1,000 minutes of talk time inside the US, unlimited international or domestic texting, zero activation fee, and a free SIM. Sounds good.
Availability begins June 12. Users are expected to provide their own compatible unlocked device, and the plan can only last for up to three weeks and isn’t renewable. Customers can stop by nearly any US T-Mobile store to sign up.
