Moto G4 and G4 Plus announced with impressive value
The value market is the target of many brands today. Who doesn’t want to pay less for more? So, in continuation of Motorola’s widely-acclaimed G series, Motorola has announced its latest models (the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, and Moto G4 Play) – a lot of Moto’s, so let’s take a closer look.
At the top of the G lineup are the G4 and G4 Plus, which both have 5.5″ 1080p displays, 3,000 mAh (or as Motorola says, all-day) batteries, Moto Maker customizability, turbo charging, Snapdragon 617 octa-core processors, and two or four gigs of RAM correlating to the storage capacity. Not too shabby.
The G4 Plus gains a fingerprint scanner and upgraded camera. The camera takes a modest jump from 13 to 16 megapixels and picks up laser-assisted autofocus. Both the G4 and G4 Plus sport 5MP selfie cams.
Motorola is also marketing the G4 and G4 Plus’ compatibility with most major US carrier SIM cards.
The Moto G4 Play, the least of the G4 lineup, has a 5″ 720p display, 2,800 mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
It’s the price that makes or breaks this product. U.S. pricing is expected to start between $160-$200 for the G4 and G4 Plus. It’s practically a given that the G4 Play will be even cheaper.
